Quito, July 10 (teleSUR-RHC)-- Bolivian President Evo Morales praised Pope Francis and described the preparation toward the Catholic Church leader visiting the Andean country.

President Morales described the natural way in which he coordinated the current visit with the Pope, through conversations they held over the past two years.

“I met brother Pope Francis in Brasilia, he told me 'Evo I support you through my prayers, through my blessings.' I told him 'well Pope, you have to visit Bolivia, with your prayers and your blessings' … we had (another) conversation two years ago and he said 'I will go to Bolivia, let me schedule it,'” said Morales.

The president highlighted the importance of Francis' message and the matching points he shared with the Pontiff.

“Last week we founded an executive unit (of government) named after Pope Francis as a tribute to him as well as his struggle. That is the way he understands (the Church's) service,” explained the Bolivian head of state.

Pope Francis is in Bolivia as part of his Latin American tour. On Friday he is set to head to Paraguay, the last country he will visit in the region.
