Baghdad, September 30 (RHC)-- Seven people have been killed in a bomb explosion at a busy commercial district in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad. Iraqi officials said three people were also injured in the incident, where an explosives-laden vehicle was blown up at a garage in Sadoun Street of central Baghdad late on Monday.
The Arabic-language al-Sumaria satellite television network reported that in addition to the seven people, a civilian was killed and seven others were injured when a car bomb exploded in Baghdad’s eastern neighborhood of Betawin.
In another attack, a physical education teacher was killed by a magnetic bomb attached to his car in Baghdad’s Hayy al-A’amel district. A security source, requesting not to be named, also said gunmen sprayed a car with bullets north of the city of Baqoubah, located about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northeast of Baghdad, on Monday, killing all four members of a family.
