Mexico City, Feb 19 (RHC)   The government of Mexico maneuvered to prevent the parents of the 43 missing Ayotzinapa students from meeting with Pope Francis during his recent visit to Mexico, Vidulfo Rosales, attorney of the missing student's relatives, has said.

The Attorney said official refusal was due to the fact that the meeting would expose existing domestic problems like forced disappearances, extra-judicial executions, and attacks to the freedom of speech and the right to protest.

Rosales also called the government's strategy “uncertain” over alleged differences or confrontations between groups of victims, and stressed that all yearn to find their relatives and have no problems with other organizations of the disappeared.
