Baltimore, May 3 (RHC)-- The legendary antiwar priest Father Daniel Berrigan has died just short of his 95th birthday.
A Jesuit priest, Berrigan was a social activist during the U.S. war of aggression against Vietnam in the 1960s and 70s. In 1980, he founded the Plowshares Movement, an anti-nuclear protest group and worked with both religious and non-religious movements for political and social change.
An award-winning and prolific author of some 50 books, a teacher, and a university educator, Daniel Berrigan dead at the age of 94.
