Quito, January 18 (RHC)-- A second group of Ecuadorian soldiers arrived in Santiago de Cuba on Thursday to join the support mission set up by the army of that Andean country to help relief efforts in that eastern city, devastated by Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
The contingent will replace the Army Corps of Engineers and Volunteers that since last July started working in the reconstruction of University of Medical Sciences' dorms.
The Ecuadorian soldiers are also taking part in the building of 560 housing units for Santiago residents
that lost their houses as result of the passing of the hurricane.
