Georgetown, February 16 (RHC)-- A center to assist children from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) with special education needs  will be inaugurated in March in Georgetown, Guyana, with Cuba's cooperation.

A group of Cuban specialists, who are offering their services in Guyana, will help train the Guyanese personnel to run the specialized center.

The head of the Cuban team, education expert Jorge Villalón told reporters that the center will promote a psycho-pedagogical approach toward the patients' full education and labor inclusion into society.

The Cuban expert said a study is currently underway to identify and classify children and youth with disabilities in Guyana and in other CARICOM countries.
