Luanda, February 3 (RHC) -- Cuba and Angola will strengthen bilateral cooperation and discuss the development of joint projects in the environmental area, in the framework of a visit to the African country by Cuba’s Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Perez Montoya.
In statements to reporters, Perez Montoya says her visit aims to evaluate and consolidate several agreements signed last July together with her Angolan counterpart, Fátima Jardim.
Moreover, the Cuban delegation will also engage in talks with Angolan officials to examine the development of new projects in areas such as protection of biodiversity, natural parks and an educational program for skilled professionals.
"This is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and find other areas that are not in the initial agreement," said the Angolan Secretary for Environmental Issues, Sianga Abilio, upon meeting the Cuban official in Luanda.
