New York, October 31 (RHC-Minrex) -- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza Monserrat held a fraternal meeting Tuesday afternoon in New York.
During the fruitful exchange, they addressed issues of mutual interest on the regional and international agenda, and discussed the forthcoming vote in the UN General Assembly on the resolution condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, which will take place on November 1st.
Rodríguez Parrilla reiterated the congratulations to the Bolivarian people for the successes achieved in the regional elections that took place on October 15.
Accompanying the Venezuelan Foreign Minister were Manuel Moncada Acosta and Rodolfo Sanz, Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs for North America and Latin America respectively; and Rafael Ramírez, Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations. On the Cuban side, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Cuban Permanent Representative to the UN, and Rodolfo Reyes Rodríguez, general director of Multilateral Affairs and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were present.
