Havana, December 16 (RHC-JR)-- Achieving an equitable and accessible education for all is today a path full of difficulties in many countries. Cuba met those goals several years ago, and now it only remains to continue improving its management for higher achievements in the quality of the teaching-educational process, said Miguel Jorge Llivina Lavigne, Education Program Officer from the Regional Office of Culture for Latin America and Cuba, at UNESCO, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
During the presentation of the global monitoring report on Education 2017-18, held Friday in Havana, the country’s education executives explained about the process of improving the national education system, as well as details on the training of teachers, and the commitment to have more open and flexible schooling to achieve better results for the new generations.
According to the UNESCO official, efforts in the education sector in Cuba began with the Literacy Campaign in 1961 and have continued throughout all the following years.
