Guantánamo, Feb 26 (RHC)-- Vice president José Ramón Machado Ventura, second secretary of the Cuban Communist Party, was among candidates for delegates to the provincial assembly and deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (Cuban Parliament), who exchanged in Guantánamo with local voters ahead of elections on March 11th.
“We've come to talk, exchange with you, so that you get to know us better,” Machado Ventura told local voters of the second district, who nominated him as their candidate to the country's top legislative body.
Machado Ventura said that people's support is what has made the Cuban Revolution invincible and everything the country is doing toward achieving development is with and for the people.
He praised the growing participation of Cuban women in decision-making processes at all levels, as a result of the empowerment of women in our society.
