Havana, April 12 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raúl Castro Ruz visited on Wednesday the Solidarity with Panama Special School, designed for pre-school to ninth grade children with physical-motor impairments or mental disabilities.
The occassion was the 15th birthday party of 22 students.
In the celebration, the president of the Caribbean nation commented on his enthusiasm for being in that center, as well as his admiration for the work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro for founding the school on December 31, 1989.
He described the institution as one of the most beautiful and just works of the Revolution.
Raul Castro also spoke with the students about the progress of their studies, and expressed that for schools like Solidarity with Panama Cuban authorities are willing to give everything.
The director of the institution, Esther La O Ochoa, thanked the president for participating in the celebration and for the joy that his presence elicited in the children.
