Havana, December 5 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel met this Thursday in Havana with the executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), Dante Mossi.
According to an official note, Mossi is in Havana on the occasion of the two-day Roundtable for the Financing of Development Projects in Cuba.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, and the parties highlighted the excellent relations between Cuba and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, of which the Caribbean nation is an extra-regional partner, the source said.
They also stressed the will to continue deepening ties.
The executive President of CABEI stated his satisfaction with the meeting and confirmed that the institution and the Cuban authorities are working to formulate a country strategy to serve as a guide, to identify development priorities in alignment with the five-year strategy of the Central American bank.
Diaz-Canel thanked CABEI for its support in achieving the objectives proposed in the strategy.
Salvador Sacasa, head of the Institutional Relations Office, and Hernán Danery Alvarado, Finance Manager, both officials of the bank, accompanied Mossi.
On the Cuban side, the Minister President of the Central Bank of Cuba, Irma Martinez, was present.
