Santiago de Cuba, January 2 (RHC)- - The top authorities of the Party and Government in Santiago de Cuba, together with the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Antonio Guerrero, paid tribute this January 1st to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the 61st anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
Lazaro Expósito Canto, first secretary of the Party in the province, and Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, president of the government, led the tribute with the laying of flowers next to the granite monolith that treasures the ashes of the historical leader in the Santa Ifigenia heritage cemetery.
Also, on this memorable date, homage was paid to the National Hero José Martí, the Father of the Homeland, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and the Mambisa mother, Mariana Grajales.
Accompanying Santiago's top leaders were representatives of the territory's mass and political organizations.
