Havana, January 8 (RHC)-- The Cuban Foreign Ministry has announced that in 2019, over 600 thousand Cubans living abroad visited the island, in evidence of the strengthening of their ties with their homeland.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said on Twitter that 552 thousand of them came from the United States, notwithstanding the reinforcement of hostility from their country of residence towards Cuba.
Rodriguez reiterated the island´s commitment to expanding dialogue and cooperation to establish more fluid relations with the Cuban diaspora.
Late last year, the Foreign Ministry announced that the next conference The Nation and its Migration would be held in Havana April 8-10, 2020.
