Havana, March 4 (RHC) -- The King of Lesotho, Letsie III, visited on Tuesday the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), the brainchild of Fidel Castro. The School has trained nearly 30,000 doctors from all over the world.
The King held a dialogue with students at the university's headquarters, located west of the Cuban capital.
After learning about the training program for doctors with a humanistic vocation, the Majesty of the southern African country thanked the Cuban people and government and expressed his wish that Cuba continues to help the world to have doctors.
As part of the visit, Letsie III met with the students of Lesotho who are currently studying at ELAM and learned about 11 others who are being trained at other universities in Cuba.
Marcia Cobas, Cuban Vice-Minister of Public Health, present at the visit, thanked the Cuban doctors who are currently carrying out their internationalist mission in Lesotho.
