Air France cooperates with Cuba to move supplies in fight against COVID-19

Havana, August 17 (RHC)-- The airlines Air France is cooperating with Cuban authorities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, by transferring medical supplies from different countries, as well as important products for the national economy.

Air France executives in Cuba explained that the priority is to transport to Havana products and resources acquired by the Cuban State in various regions of the world to preserve and save the lives of the people in the midst of the current complex scenario.

Until August 13th, more than 130 tons destined for the battle against COVID-19 arrived at the Cuban capital by this route, with a weekly frequency, and all operations are carried out under strict health biosecurity protocols, according to a report on national television.

Each flight, in addition to transporting resources for the battle against the coronavirus pandemic, brings equipment, parts and supplies acquired for economic projects and programs in the country.

Antoinette Zullo, general manager of Air France-KLM for Cuba, said the company participates in the import and export of important products for development and cooperates with several countries.
