Havana, September 15 (RHC)—The National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, said 77 new COVID 19 cases were reported in Cuba over the last 24 hours, bringing to 4,803 the cumulative total of people who have tested positive to Sars-Cov-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Ciego de Avila reported 33, and Havana reported 31 cases. Duran said these are the provinces where the burden of the epidemic remains on the island.
“Ciego de Avila has the highest incidence of confirmed cases per 100 thousand inhabitants with 45,07. This province has reported 176 cases in the last ten days. Havana has an incidence of 18,7 and has reported 233 cases in the last ten days,”, said Duran.
Meanwhile, the island remained with a good pace of discharges, with 77 on Monday, totaling 4119 for a recovery rate of more than 85% of confirmed cases.
