Havana, November 12 (RHC)--The first vice-minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, Ana Teresita Gonzalez, thanked the governments of India and Turkey for their donations of medical supplies to confront the pandemic of the new Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Gonzalez expressed her appreciation on Twitter. On behalf of the Cuban government, she headed the ceremony to receive disposable medical supplies and pulmonary ventilators.
"Turkey offers its solidarity to Cuba with a donation of disposable supplies and pulmonary ventilators to face COVID19. Cuba appreciates the solidarity gesture of Turkey and ratifies its willingness to expand our economic, commercial, and cooperation relations," Gonzalez tweeted.
Likewise, the official extended the Cubans' gratitude to the Indian people and government for sending medicines to the Caribbean island as a contribution to the fight against the #COVID-19.
The Indian donation is part of the events commemorating the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two nations.
