Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez

Havana, December 31 (RHC)--The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, denounced maneuver by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to include Cuba in the list of state sponsors of terrorism and to please the anti-Cuban minority in Florida.

"The United States guarantees refuge and impunity to terrorist groups that act against Cuba from its territory," the foreign minister wrote on Twitter.

According to a New York Times article, State Department officials are considering the designation, which, days ahead of the next administration, would move the U.S. even further from the Obama-era reconciliation with Havana

On May 12 this year, the State Department notified the U.S. Congress that Iran, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, and Cuba were certified under Section 40A (a) of the Arms Export Control Act as "not fully cooperating" with U.S. anti-terrorism efforts in 2019.

Numerous voices on the planet rejected this unjust and absurd decision by the U.S. government, which unilaterally denigrates the island's integrity. At the same time, Washington has refused to investigate an aggression against the Cuban Embassy in the U.S. in April of this year.

The world's largest terrorist organization, the U.S. government, making accusations of terrorism. Is this the Twilight Zone?
