Havana, Jun 8 (RHC) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health today reported 1,056 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths in the last 24 hours.
Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology, informed that 6034 positive patients remain hospitalized.
Since the beginning of the pandemic on the Caribbean island in March last year, 151 259 people have contracted the disease and 1033 have died from Covid-19, said the specialist.
Havana had 449, Santiago de Cuba 136, and Mayabeque 77 cases. These were the territories that reported the most infections.
