Havana, August 12 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said on Thursday his condolences to Algeria for the deaths and devastation caused by forest fires in that North African country.
He wrote: 'our heartfelt condolences to the Algerian people and government for the loss of human lives and damages caused.'
Forest fires have caused at least 65 deaths in regions of Kabylia, northern Algeria.
According to local media, a large number of the fatalities (28) are military personnel mobilized to support firefighters in combating the 30 fires raging in the provinces of Tizi-Ouzou and Bejaia.
