Havana, September 14 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla stressed on Twitter that the results published by the Cuban Academy of Sciences (ACC) on the alleged sonic attacks on United States diplomats in Havana, evidence of the injustice of Washington's sanctions against the island.

"Cuba's Academy of Sciences publishes results of investigations by a team of experts on health symptoms reported by diplomats. These show how unjust were the U.S. measures against Cuba that have not yet been reversed," tweeted the Cuban Foreign Minister.

In another tweet, the head of Cuban diplomacy assured that this is an issue that prematurely, and for reasons of political manipulation, ceased to be investigated in the fields of Science and Health.

He added that this matter could only be clarified with transparency and cooperation in both fields.

This Monday, experts from the CAS presented a technical report in which they evaluated health incidents that occurred during stays in Havana of foreign government employees and their families.

According to the text, with the alleged unidentified health incidents reported in the Cuban capital, similar symptoms appeared in some Canadian citizens and, later, in U.S. employees in other countries. This narrative was called "mysterious syndrome."

The report notes that the narrative is based on unverified claims of a novel syndrome with shared core symptoms and signs, brain damage, a directed energy source that could affect people's brains from great distances after crossing the physical barriers of homes or hotel rooms; the identification of a weapon capable of generating such a physical agent; as well as alleged evidence that an attack occurred.

However, after analyzing all these claims, the multidisciplinary Cuban team concluded that the "mystery syndrome" narrative is not scientifically acceptable in any of its components and has only survived due to a biased use of science.
