Leaders of Cuban and Vietnamese communist parties meet for dialogue

Havana, Sep 20 (RHC) On Monday, the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, received Phan Dinh Trac, member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

 

Morales, secretary of Organization and Politics of cadres of the organization in the Caribbean nation, shared with the Asian leader on the progress of the implementation of the ideas, concepts and guidelines of the 8th Congress of that political grouping.

 

He also gave a broad explanation on the current situation of the Antillean nation, that is resisting with creativity and the active participation of the people despite the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade by the United States.

 

For his part, the leader of the Asian nation, who is chairman of the Commission for Internal Affairs of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, ratified his country's invariable policy of supporting the struggle of Cubans against the U.S. blockade.

 

Likewise, he reaffirmed the interest of the top leadership to continue strengthening the ties of brotherhood, friendship and solidarity.

 

Both delegations also endorsed the commitment to maintain the legacy of relations forged by cuban leaders Fidel and Raul Castro and Ho Chi Minh from Vietnam.

 

The Vietnamese delegation also included Truong Quang Hoai Nam, First Vice Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, among others.

 

Meanwhile, in the Cuban case, Joel Queipo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, and other leaders of the organization were present.
