Havana, Jun 30 (RHC)--Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel highlighted the meeting he held on Wednesday with French businessman Alexandre Ricard, President and CEO of Pernod Ricard.
On Twitter, the President informed that in the contact, he acknowledged the group's performance in developing Havana Club International S.A. (HCI), the growth of the brand, and the prestige of Cuban rum worldwide.
In this dialogue, Granma newspaper reported that the head of state described Ricard's visit to Cuba as necessary and timely and said it would be very useful.
"We want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the 30 years that Havana Club International has been working as a joint venture, with your participation and that of the Cuban side," he said.
After thanking the President for his words, Ricard affirmed that his group has great ambitions and projects for HCI.
