Havana, July 29 (RHC) Army General Raul Castro congratulated the Cuban Civil Defense system members and the National Civil Defense General Staff (EMNDC) for their results in protecting the country since its creation six decades ago.
"Continue perfecting this work, studying, and researching, especially because meteorological phenomena are increasingly dangerous due to climate change. Our island will constantly be exposed to them," said the leader of the Cuban Revolution.

He emphasized that this July 31, the General Staff reaches its 60th anniversary. This commemoration should also be a tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, a strategist in conceiving a civil defense of the people and for the people.
We trust in you, he assured in his congratulatory message, read in a ceremony held this morning at the EMNDC headquarters and headed by Army Corps General Alvaro Lopez Miera, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces -FAR.
