Abel Aballe
New Delhi, August 25 (RHC)-- Cuba presented in India the business opportunities in the mining sector, especially in the form of foreign investment, during an international conference on the minerals and metals industry.
Cuban diplomat Abel Aballe described the island's mining potential and the successful experiences of foreign investment in the sector. The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the ministries of Steel and Mines of India organized the event.
Aballe also highlighted in the forum the security environment, legal guarantees, and tax facilities for investors in Cuba; while extending an invitation to those present to strengthen ties in this area with the Caribbean nation, which has a variety of metallic raw materials, rocks, and industrial minerals.
The conference commemorated the 75th anniversary of India's independence in a program that featured speakers from industry, politics, academia, producers, equipment manufacturers, companies, and government organizations.
