Havana, September 7 (RHC) USAID and PAN legislators have conspired to articulate a profuse campaign against the presence of Cuban doctors in Mexico, according to an investigation by political analyst Katu Arkonada, shared on Twitter.
Arkonada points out that the coordinator of the PAN bench in the Legislative Julen Rementeria heads the anti-Cuban crusade, which has two lines of attack: one that points out that their presence in Mexico is unnecessary, and a second driven from Miami, saying the doctors will be sent to conflict zones.
Rementeria has close ties with Cuban-born terrorist Orlando Gutiérrez Boronat, leader of the organization Directorio Democrático, which incited violence in Cuba on July 11, 2021, and voice of the #SOSCuba campaign against the health system on the island.
The Mexican senator is also linked to the "Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba," a pioneer in articulating actions against the Cuban medical brigades in Latin America.
For this purpose, it uses USAID funding (extended with new funds in October 2021 and September 2022).
Margarita Guerra, Program Director of USAID's office for Latin America and the Caribbean, is the primary coordinator and financier of the campaign to boycott Cuban doctors' presence in Mexico, according to Arkonada's investigation.
