Havana, Oct 26 (RHC) Venezuela and Cuba reaffirmed the ties of friendship and cooperation, in a meeting held between Foreign Ministers Carlos Faría and Bruno Rodríguez, respectively, Prensa Latina news agency reports from Caracas.

In his Twitter account, the head of Bolivarian diplomacy indicated that in the context of the XXIII Meeting of Foreign Ministers of #CELAC, in Argentina, "we held a meeting with our brother and comrade @BrunoRguezP".

Faría stressed that "we ratified the political will of President @NicolasMaduro to deepen the strategic alliance #Venezuela #Cuba".

Caracas and Havana strengthened the bonds of brotherhood with the signing of the con October 30, 2002, by Commanders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013).

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry refers that this strategic mechanism, since its implementation, had an impact on sectors such as health, education, economy, sports, and culture, among other areas.

The strategic links between the two countries "continue to grow for the benefit of both peoples", as a mechanism to fight and resist the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against Venezuela and the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of more than 60 years against Cuba.
