Havana, Nov 8 (RHC) The National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) made available on its website the texts of the draft laws of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic and the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba and the System of Superior Control of Public Funds and Administrative Management, and their respective e-mail addresses, to promote citizen participation in this process and contribute to the legal culture.

These proposals will be submitted for analysis and discussion by the Cuban deputies, with a view to their timely submission to the National Assembly of People's Power.

On October 18, both bodies exercised the legislative initiative before the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, by Article 164 of the Constitution.

Among the particularities of the proposed Law of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the guiding principles of the activity of the Office are identified, based on the defense of the socialist state of law and social justice. Furthermore, it determines the scope of action to guarantee the fulfillment of its fundamental mission, and perfects the objectives and functions of the organ, in correspondence with the new constitutional mandate and the impacts of the judicial and procedural reform, among other aspects.

The draft law on the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba and the System of Superior Control of Public Funds and Administrative Management introduces changes concerning the Title or name of the current Law, to make it correspond to the transcendence of the fundamental mission conferred by the Constitution.
