Venezuelan Vice-President received Cuban Deputy Prime Minister

Caracas, Nov 10 (RHC) Venezuelan Vice President of Public Works and Services, Néstor Reverol, held a meeting in Caracas with Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdés.

 

In his Instagram account, the also Minister of Electric Energy informed that in the meeting they evaluated "some aspects of the Venezuelan National Electric System that could be applied in the Caribbean country".

 

Reverol pointed out that historical roots unite Cuba and Venezuela in the struggle for the integration of Latin American peoples, in the defense of sovereignty and independence, "a purpose that continues today firmer than ever with the President of the Republic, @nicolasmaduro".

 

Venezuela's Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting yesterday with Valdés to strengthen cooperation ties between the two nations.

 

Both authorities reviewed the ties agreed upon in different areas and reviewed bilateral collaboration, as well as the regional and international situation.

 

Likewise, they reaffirmed the will to continue strengthening the brotherhood of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty, according to a press release issued by the Vice-Presidency.

 

The text pointed out that with this meeting Venezuela and Cuba consolidate efforts to maintain and strengthen the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement signed by Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013).

 

Last week, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro celebrated this strategic collaboration pact, which he described as the largest humanitarian operation in the history of mankind.

 

On October 30, 2000, Fidel and Chavez sealed with their signatures the creation of the Agreement, motivated by the common interest of promoting the progress of their respective economies.

 

 

The Cuban Vice Premier was accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O; the Vice Minister of Construction, Ricardo Carbajo; the Director of the Unión Cuba-Petróleo, Néstor Pérez, together with the Ambassador in Caracas, Dagoberto Rodríguez, among other officials.
