Havana, Nov 15 (RHC) Officials from the Cuban Foreign Ministry and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) began this Tuesday in Havana, the 8th edition of High-Level Political Dialogues.
A note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) of the Caribbean island said that the agenda of the meeting includes exchanges on international humanitarian law and the implementation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and the first meeting of its States Parties.
In addition, both delegations will dialogue on the results of operations in cyberspace and outer space, among other issues of common interest.
The press release added that the Cuban delegation is headed by the general director of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of MINREX, Rodolfo Benitez, as well as representatives of the Ministries of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Public Health, and the Interior.
The ICRC delegation is headed by the deputy regional head for the Americas, Valeria Gamboni, and is also attended by the head of the regional delegation for Panama and the Caribbean, Marisela Silva Chau, and other officials. (Source: PL)
