Havana, December 9 (RHC)-- The Cuban Foreign Ministry on Friday called for a "tuitazo" to mark International Human Rights Day on December 10th.

On its Twitter account, the Foreign Ministry informed that the initiative will take place this Saturday, from 9:00 to 12:00 Cuban time, and messages must be accompanied by the hashtags #cubanosconderechos and #DDDHHCuba.

Juan Antonio Quintanilla, the country's permanent representative to the Human Rights Council, shared the call on the same social network, while mentioning Cuba's achievements in protecting the rights of all citizens.

"Cuba has much to celebrate this day because we have tangible results that make us proud, which the work of the Revolution has made possible," the diplomat said in a tweet.

On December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a document that proclaims the rights to which every person is entitled, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political opinion, national or social origin, economic position, birth or any other condition.
