Havana, Dec 30 (RHC) On Thursday, Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Party's Central Committee and President of the Republic, visited several workplaces in this capital city where he learned about the particularities of the work carried out by each one of them.

This is an enchanting place, said Díaz-Canel while visiting Quinta de Los Molinos, an institution located in the central municipality of Plaza de la Revolución and approved as the first state-owned micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) by the Office of the Historian of Havana.

As detailed by the Presidency on Twitter, the center will offer technical services, landscaping, horticulture, event management, and consulting, among others.

According to another tweet, Diaz-Canel learned about the beautiful social work of the institution, and several projects with the use of renewable energy sources.

The Cuban head of state inaugurated the Cephalosporins and Carbapenem Injectable Plant, the only producer of broad-spectrum antibiotics in the country, a branch of the 8 de Marzo Pharmaceutical Company, founded 41 years ago by Vilma Espín.

Building a place like this in a year as difficult as this one has been a feat, said Díaz-Canel.

The plant has the capacity for domestic and export demand and will be in charge of the production of cefotaxime, rosin, cefazolin, cefuroxime, meropenem, ceftazidime, cefoxitin, and aztreonam.

The President also visited the Aquaculture Technology Development Company, located in the municipality of Cotorro, the only one of its kind in the country, where the technological needs in the cultivation of aquaculture species of all national producers are met.

During the tour, the president was accompanied by the first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Havana, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, and the governor of the province, Reinaldo García Zapata. (Source: ACN)
