Paramedic shot in Guantanamo remains in stable critical condition

Havana, Jan 7 (RHC) Dr. Luis Alberto Ramírez Díaz, deputy surgical director of the Agostinho Neto Hospital, in the Cuban province of Guantánamo, reported that paramedic Luis Miguel Bartoló Tamayo, who was shot this Thursday morning, is in stable critical condition and intubated, in the Intensive Care Unit of the institution.

 

The update of the report is from the second evaluation of the patient on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. Bartoló Tamayo has facial edema and an unstable nasal fracture that caused bleeding during the night, but he remains hemodynamically stable.

 

On the morning of January 5, in the city of Guantánamo, an off-duty motorized agent of the Provincial Transit Department shot at least twice at Dr. Damaris Rodríguez Domínguez and Luis Miguel Bartoló Tamayo while they were in an ambulance of the Medical Emergency System of the municipality of El Salvador.
