Havana, Feb 4 (RHC) Prime Minister Manuel Marrero led a thorough review of the current situation of the work of the agencies in charge of non-commercial cargo in the country.
In the analysis, the strategies of each of the six national agencies to ensure the flow of cargo, and the progress of alternative measures adopted to shorten the delivery time as well as the challenges involved in the process of hiring micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises dedicated to the transportation activity, were thoroughly assessed. Also present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca and the head of Transportation, Eduardo Rodriguez.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the readiness of computer systems here, in pursuit of clarity and legality of information, as well as the importance of providing real-time data to customers which is necessary to guarantee the legality of the processes.
Attention to the population is one of the central axes of the meticulous check-up, where people’s complaints and dissatisfactions were reviewed. At the end of January, there were 1,83 packages pending distribution, belonging to 749 clients.
Another issue that received special attention in this meeting was compliance with the 22 measures approved by the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers to regulate the operation of parcel agencies and operators. To grant them greater autonomy, these provisions are advancing toward the improvement of the logistics chain in Cuba (Source: Cubasi).
