Havana, Feb 10 (RHC) Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab announced Thursday that during his visit to Cuba, the existing collaboration agreement between the Public Prosecutor's Offices of both countries will be renewed.

In a press conference at Casa de las Americas in Havana, the lawyer and writer commented that he will hold meetings related to the cultural and judicial spheres, including a meeting tomorrow, February 10, with representatives of the Attorney General's Office to strengthen cooperation.

Tarek William Saab referred that since his arrival at the Attorney General's Office, in August 2017, he worked on issues such as the opening throughout Venezuela of the offices of attention to victims, taking services to the most remote communities, and in campaigns against drugs, child marriage, and bullying.

In Cuba, he will also participate at the International Meeting of left-wing publications, whose central theme will be the figure of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016), and his role in international relations.

The Venezuelan official remarked on the "fraternal and close friendship" that united him with Fidel, whom he described as a political genius for his "human diplomacy".

This Saturday and in the context of the XXXI Havana International Book Fair, Saab will present a poetic anthology entitled 'En un paisaje boreal'; and a book of essays, chronicles, interviews, and literary criticism, entitled 'Hoguera de una adolescencia intemporal.

On Thursday, the Venezuelan attorney general spoke with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and addressed issues related to geopolitics and the role of the Bolivarian nation in the international scenario.

In his Twitter account, Saab alluded to the conversation with the head of Cuban diplomacy, and also to the meeting with the Minister of Culture, Alpidio Alonso, which dealt with the Cuban-Venezuelan experiences on art and poetry "as tools for the spiritual salvation of humanity".
