Havana, Feb 20 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted on his Twitter account the presence of Cuban doctors in Türkiye as a show of solidarity in the face of the tragedy caused by the earthquakes in that country.
In the social network, the Antillean Foreign Minister said that "the presence in Türkiye of our collaborators of the "Henry Reeve" Brigade is an expression of the feeling of solidarity of the Cuban people, the accompaniment and sympathies towards that brotherly people in this moment of affliction".
Rodriguez's message responded to one of thanks from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who shared a video on the networks about the international support to his country with the proverb: in need, you know your friend.
A Cuban medical brigade, made up of 32 health professionals, is helping the victims of the earthquakes that struck southern Türkiye this month.
The group made up of 20 doctors and 11 specialists in nursing, epidemiology, and service personnel, was stationed at the Necip Fazil Sehir hospital in the town of Buyukyapalak, Elbistan, Kahramanmaraş province, in the south-central part of the country. (Source: PL)
