Havana, Mar 9 (RHC) On Thursday, Diplomat Mirta Granda presented her credentials accrediting her as Cuba's Ambassador to this European nation to President George Vella.
During the ceremony, both parties noted the potential to strengthen cooperation and the ties of respect that have united both nations since 1977, when bilateral relations were established.
Granda underlined the similarities between the peoples of Cuba and Malta, characterized by the defense of self-determination, their identity, and history.
She expressed her commitment to strengthening ties in all spheres.
The ambassador thanked the Maltese Government for its sustained support at the United Nations General Assembly for the resolution to end the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba. (Source: Prensa Latina)
