Havana, March 10 (RHC) Cuba and China are seeking to identify possible areas of collaboration in the field of sciences, Cuba's Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) reported on Thursday.
The deputy director of the Center for Molecular Immunology, Dr. Kalet León, is on a working visit to China where he met with leading biotechnology companies to identify opportunities and further strengthen cooperation between scientific institutions in this sector.
The Center for Molecular Immunology is a Cuban closed-cycle biotechnological institution (research development, production, commercialization). Based on the cultivation of superior cells, it directs its basic research, development, and manufacture of products to the treatment of cancer and other autoimmune diseases.
The institution’s scientists work in different modalities, such as antibodies, recombinant proteins, laboratory reagents, therapeutic vaccines, and similar biological products. (Source: Prensa Latina)
