Havana, March 11 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez supported the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, interrupted for seven years.
On Twitter, the Cuban diplomat expressed his satisfaction with the trilateral Joint Declaration of Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China, in which it was announced the decision by Saudi Arabia and Iran to reestablish diplomatic relations and reopen Embassies”.
Bruno Rodríguez also added, “that this step will contribute to regional stability and security.”
The two governments agreed to respect state sovereignty, not to meddle in internal affairs, and to reactivate a security cooperation agreement signed on April 17, 2001. (Source: Prensa Latina).
