New Cuban ambassador in Serbia
Havana, March 17 mar (RHC) The Cuban diplomat Leyde Ernesto Rodríguez delivered this Thursday the credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba in Serbia before the president of that nation, Aleksandar Vučić.
During the meeting, the Serbian president wished the new ambassador a successful mandate and thanked him for Cuba's constant support for Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Vučić also reiterated his nation's commitment to friendly relations with the archipelago, based on mutual understanding and respect.
Upon being received by Mirjana Jeremić, Head of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new Cuban ambassador affirmed that he has the honor of representing a country that defends its sovereignty against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States, which hinders the development of the nation and the full enjoyment of the human rights of the Cuban people.
According to the Cuban embassy, Rodríguez also expressed Cuba's respect for the territorial integrity of Serbia and for the norms of international law. (Source: PL)
