Wifi in national trains
Havana, March 17 (RHC) Engineer Robelis Lambert Matos, president of the Comprehensive Telecommunications Solutions Company S.A. (Solintel) reported that the entity is working on a project to implement WiFi in national trains.
The specialist explained to the press that this program represents an added value for the railway that will allow a new standard of comfort, and should start with a pilot test for the third quarter. He emphasized that the greatest difficulty is in the coverage of the entire central line because it is not available in its entirety, although solutions are already being worked on.
Lambert Matos added that passengers will be able to send and receive email messages with attachments, will have access to the corporate intranet, and will be able to browse the web and chat online with access to social networks and applications. (Source: granma.cu)
