Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs exchanged with Solidarity Group with Cuba in Liberia
Havana, March 22 (RHC) The Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elio Rodríguez, held a warm exchange with a representation of the Solidarity Group with Cuba in Liberia, as the culmination of his working visit to that African nation.
The diplomat thanked the organization for its friendship with the largest island in the Antilles, and for its support against the blockade imposed by the United States for more than six decades.
Rodríguez updated on the Cuban reality, the upcoming national elections and the effort of the people to overcome the difficulties caused by the US policy.
For his part, the president of the group, Kesselee King Kanneh, highlighted the humanism of the Cuban Revolution that has allowed the training of Liberian professionals and those from all over the world.
He also highlighted the group's opposition to the blockade, which affects not only the people of the Caribbean nation but also other countries.
During his stay in Liberia, the vice chancellor held meetings with authorities from that country, including the vice president, Jewel Howard Taylor, and the speaker of Parliament, Bhofal Chambers. (Source: Cubaminrex)
