Meeting of G77+China Ministers of Culture will take place in Havana
Havana, May 1 (RHC) - The Havana Convention Center will host, next Thursday, a meeting of Culture Ministers of the Group of 77 + China.
The appointment will take place in the context of the First International Congress of Cultural Heritage, which will take place from Wednesday to Friday, at the National Museum of Fine Arts, in Havana.
In a previous meeting between representatives of the organization currently led by Cuba, Fernando Rojas, Vice Minister of Culture, recalled that "heritage constitutes one of the main axes of reflections on culture, and this congress is linked to the contributions of the group in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
He stressed that one of the agreements of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, held in October in Mexico City, was the need to place culture in an important place on the multilateral agenda of that United Nations organization.
Rojas also pointed out that the next congress will be a platform to show the rebirth of cultural life in the Antillean nation, in face-to-face format and from difficult economic conditions, but "with the will to contribute to human improvement and so that the activity artistic I reached everyone and everyone”.
The minister pointed out that the meeting of Ministers of Culture will have as fundamental themes culture as a global public good and its social and economic dimension. (Source: Prensa Latina)
