Havana, May 5 (RHC) - A few hours after the conclusion of the 41st edition of the International Tourism Fair in Cuba (FITCuba 2023), the ministers of that portfolio of the Group of 77 + China will meet today in Havana.
During the pro tempore presidency -for the first time- the island carried out various actions in the organization that brings together 134 of the 193 member states of the United Nations.
Among the actions was the forum of the Group's Ministers of Culture, which among the main issues addressed culture as a global public good, as well as South-South cooperation mechanisms and alternatives for sustainable development.
Also, the International Tourism Fair was dedicated to the interrelationship between culture, heritage and tourism, which according to Cuban Vice Minister of Culture Kenelma Carvajal, are strategic to face the challenges derived from the global systemic crisis.
Another activity led by Cuba this year was the meeting of Ministers of Education organized in February in Havana, a space in which the participants agreed to promote consensus building, strengthen unity and promote South-South and triangular cooperation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
