Cuba adopts new legal provisions of popular interest

Havana, May 24 (RHC) The Council of State of Cuba adopted four agreements of interest to the population and a new Decree-Law, in an extraordinary session, headed by Esteban Lazo, president of that body.

The legislators approved the rules for the attention to the proposals of the voters to their delegates for a better processing, solution and response of these, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law.

Likewise, they approved the methodology of the work visits of the Auxiliary Offices of the National Assembly; the agreement that regulates the link of the deputies with the territories where they were elected; and the one that provides for the inauguration of the governors and deputy governors, as well as the constitution of the provincial councils of People's Power on June 4.

The members of the Council of State also approved the Decree-Law amending Law 1307, of July 29, 1976, which proposes the change of name of some institutions in the area attached to the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.

Prior to its presentation to the deputies, in the Second Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly, the Council of State analyzed the draft Social Communication Law, and approved the temporary commission that will rule on this proposed regulatory provision.

Likewise, it adopted the proposal for the Legislative Schedule of the Tenth Legislature and the agreement on the constitution of the permanent work commissions of the Cuban Parliament.
