Cuba attends a sports conference in Azerbaijan
Baku, Jun 27 (RHC) A Cuban delegation is attending the 7th International Conference for Physical Education and Sports, MINEPS VII, taking place in this capital from June 26 to 29, 2023, Cuban Ambassador to Baku, Carlos Valdes, told Prensa Latina.
In addition to Valdes, the Cuban delegation includes Yohselyn Ramiro, director of training and improvement at the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER), and Nallibys Martínez, a specialist in international relations at the sports institution.
MINEPS VII is a global conference that brings together governments, athletes, the private sector, and other stakeholders to increase investment in sports, improve practices, promote quality physical education, and maximize the positive impact on health, society, and the economy.
The Conference is an opportunity for sports ministers and other stakeholders to define the future of sports for development.
Previous MINEPS conferences have been held in France (1976), Russian Federation (1988 and 2017), Uruguay (1999), Greece (2004), and Germany (2013). (Source: PL)
