Cuban President congratulated his counterpart from Mexico
Havana, July 2 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated his Mexican counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, whose fifth year since his electoral victory was celebrated on Saturday.
In the Zócalo, the main square of the Aztec nation, López Obrador celebrated this Saturday the fifth anniversary of his electoral triumph on July 1, 2018, and the four a half years of the application of his Fourth Transformation program.
During the activity, the Mexican president referred to the actions of the political opposition with a view to the June 2024 elections, and after a broad recount of achievements and works in his term, he said that the change, together with the intelligence and sagacity of the Mexican people, they will make it possible for nothing and no one to defeat them, since money and tendentiousness and vulgar propaganda no longer work.
The president also mentioned the changes that have been made in the public health system and took advantage of that moment to pause and thank the Cuban government and people once again for having sent 718 specialists to help create a free health care system, more modern and efficient than many in Europe.
