Havana, Jul 14 (RHC) One person died and two were injured in a traffic accident on Friday on the Havana-Pinar del Río highway.
According to the local press, the incident took place when the private vehicle with license plate P217282 lost control of the access bridge to the town of Herradura, in the municipality of Consolación del Sur.
Dainarys Patterson González, 37 years old, a native of Herradura, lost his life and two people were taken to the provincial hospital 'Abel Santamaría Cuadrado', where they are currently under medical observation.
"Both patients present minor injuries, without life-threatening or alarming signs," Dr. Manuel Quintero García, head of the first aids service of that health institution, told the Cuban News Agency.
He assured that immediately after learning of the accident, the usual protocols for such cases at the hospital were activated and the injured were evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. (Source: ACN)
