Havana, November 17 (RHC) -- With the presence of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, a space for analysis dedicated to the thoughts of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the Economic and Social Crisis of the World is taking place today in this capital, more than four decades after the publication of that text.
The panel takes place as part of the program of the XIV International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development Problems initiated by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution in 1999.
The event, held at the Havana Convention Palace, brings together around 500 professionals of these sciences from nearly 40 countries, among them prestigious academics, researchers and officials in search of answers to the challenges of the contemporary world.
Among the main topics discussed during these days are the challenges of the international economy in times of crisis, multilateralism from its different visions, economic globalization, international trade, trends in monetary-financial relations and international flows.
Accompanying the Cuban leader are Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of the Economic and Productive Department, and Oscar Luis Hung Penton, president of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC).
